The UK legal age of consent is being undermined at every level
The UK's legal age of consent, which is 16, is being undermined by the state and the authorities at every level. The law meant to PROTECT vulnerable children, is having the opposite effect and creating a "grey" area, where perpetrators are being allowed to get away with their crimes and revoke responsibility.
Along with explicit Sex Education in Schools, which normalises sexual behaviour and actively incites children to engage in early sexual activity.

'Independent' government advisory organisation on sex education, Brook, undermines legal age of consent
An independent organisation on the board of advisors for the governments sex education strategy, Brook, states the following on it's website's A-Z of sex:-
Brook A-Z of sex definition:-
Age of consent
The age at which it is legal to have sex. In the UK the age of consent is 16 years old for everyone. The law is there to protect young people rather than prosecute them, so if you are under 16, it's highly unlikely to get into trouble as long as both partners consent (are happy) to have sex unless there is a large age difference between partners.
Consent
The age at which the law says that it's okay to have sex. In the UK, the age is now 16 for everyone, whether gay, heterosexual (straight) or bisexual. This became law on 8 January 2001. No age is specified for Lesbians.

Sex offender acquitted by Northampton Crown Court
Published on Monday 20 June 2011 07:20
A SEX offender acquitted by a jury of a number of offences against a teenage girl faces a long prison sentence for the crimes he had admitted.
Ken Garrett, aged 47, was cleared of four allegations of indecency and sexual activity with a child after a trial at Northampton Crown Court.
But prior to the start of his trial, he had admitted five other offences of sexual activity with the same victim. It had been alleged the lorry driver waged a campaign of sexual abuse, said to have started when his victim was under 16. But the jury accepted his account that the sex only started after her 17th birthday, which he accepted and so pleaded guilty to the relevant offences.
His victim, who cannot be named, said she had been too terrified to reveal what had taken been taking place.
The jury were shown a video interview in which she described how Garrett asked her to perform a sex act on him when he was drunk.
She said: “I was confused. I didn’t know what to do and he had to show me.
“I was young and it was scary.”
Asked in the interview – during which she repeatedly said she did not remember specific details – why she did not refuse to have sex on the alleged occasions after that, she answered: “I would have had to say yes. I was scared of him.
“After a couple of times I knew what was expected.”
Adjourning sentence for an assessment of the danger Garrett might continue to pose to children, Judge Charles Wide QC remanded him in custody, saying he faced a substantial prison sentence and “should therefore start serving it now.”
He added: “It should be clearly understood that I take a very serious view of these offences to which he has pleaded guilty. I take the view he corrupted this girl when she was vulnerable. He corrupted her after her 17th birthday and this involved very serious abuse involving repeated perverted sexual practices and the use of drugs and alcohol.
“I have no doubt it was his corruption of this vulnerable young girl which has obviously left a very deep scar on her personality.”
Sentencing was adjourned until next month for reports and Garrett, of West Oval, Kings Heath was remanded into custody.
